The Basics

Just in case you don’t want to spend 20 minutes reading ALL about me, here are the basics:

  • I’m originally from a small rural town in northwestern Wisconsin.  To be clear:  it had all the advantages small town living provides, such as a strong sense of community, strong family values, and a low crime rate.  Additionally, everyone knew (really, “knows” would likely be more accurate) your business and wasn’t afraid to voice his/her opinions or share that info with anyone else within a 100-mile radius.
  • I studied English Literature, and Technical and Creative Writing at the University of Wisconsin – Eau Claire. (A fine institution, might I add.)
  • My professional life was a series of writing and editing positions, and eventually a foray into management of communication efforts and groups.  I’ve worked in the industries of supercomputing, environmental engineering, industrial automation, and medical systems, to name a few.  I’ve been part of corporate communications departments, marketing departments, and even engineering departments.
  • I’m married to my best friend.  After I survived over a decade of being a step-mom, I decided I should formally sentence myself to a life of torment and abuse:  and so Hubby and I started our own family.

And now I am simply a married, stay-at-home-mom who keeps house (in the loosest possible of terms), loves her minivan, and pretends to know how to parent three little girls.

Who are more precious, more special, and more important to me than I even imagined.
