As I am wrapping up our taxes, I only have a few minutes to write today. I do have a few child-related anecdotes to share with you, so be sure to check back tomorrow for another installation of Claire’s Attitude. And given that tomorrow is Amy’s first day of preschool, you KNOW there’s going to be a gem there.
But in the meantime, I have two brief — but very important — things to tell you.
I’d like to announce that I am one, but that just seems too silly. Even for me.
So instead, I’m going to tell you who won my last contest, which was for that lovely Midnight Lullaby CD by Jane Roman Pitt.
I happy to tell you that the winner of this lovely gift is Christal! Christal has been notified via email and has 48 hours to contact me with a snail mail address.
Now, onto something completely different.
I had my teeth cleaned about three weeks ago. I love that first few hours of post dental-cleaning: your mouth feels so smooth and fresh! Makes me think of chewing wintergreen leaves when I was a kid, combined with a really smooth, clean feeing all throughout my mouth.
I’ve never been hyper-vigilant about my dental health. I’ve been really lucky have to have had very few cavities, so I’ve never done anything beyond brushing and occasional flossing.
But recently, every time I see a denture-related commercial on TV, I think of my dear Gram and Gramps, leaving their teeth in a cup of foaming gunk.
Good Lord, I don’t want anything to do with THAT!
So when I got the chance to try Crest’s new mouthwash, I figured, what the heck? I’m not getting any younger, and if swishing something around in my mouth can help avoid that, why not, right?
Well, I received the product, Crest® Pro-Health® Invigorating Clean Multi-Protection Rinse, about one week ago. I really didn’t think that mouthwash could make much of a difference (yes, I’m the original skeptic).
You know what? My mouth really IS fresher. I have been using Crest® Pro-Health® Invigorating Clean Multi-Protection Rinse every morning and every night after I brush. And what I’m finding is that I don’t have my usual, uh, taste in my mouth. Especially upon waking.
Now I cannot state with complete certainty that morning breath is a thing of the past. But I have to confess: I’m optimistic!
So here’s the deal: I’m going to keep up the routine, and give you the occasional update.
Who knows? Maybe freshness is just the first step….
I wrote this review while participating in a test drive campaign by Mom Central Consulting on behalf of Crest and received a sample to facilitate my candid review. Mom Central Consulting sent me a gift card to thank me for taking the time to participate.
